GALENTINES DAY Importance & Ideas!

Feb 12, 2017

February 14th (also known as Valentines Day) is quickly approaching! For those in the fashion world, it’s going to be quite a hectic day smack dab in the middle of NYFW. Not currently having a significant other, I’m going to spend the day making sure those around me feel loved. I’m incredibly thankful for my friends and family who are my support system. I’m making it a Galentines Day, and will be sending lots of love to my squad. As boys come and go, they remain a constant presence. Take the day to think of all that you DO have, not what you don’t. It’s easy to get wrapped up in who’s doing what for who, but try and tune that out.

We at The Style That Binds Us are all about girl power. What better way to spend the day than letting your loved ones know that you’re proud of them and why. It may be something you think all the time, but they aren’t aware of. Compliments add pep to your step, and can make someone feel really great about themselves. Use your energy to make those around you feel happy, confident, and loved. Before you know it, the day will be over, and you’ll have survived!! Do NOT wallow in self pity thinking you are alone. There are SO MANY people who love you in the world, and one must remember this!!

Galentines activity ideas:

  • Get a group of girls and go out to dinner
  • Mani/Pedi
  • Spa day
  • Workout class
  • Happy hour
  • Go see a movie
  • Wine tasting
  • Eat LOTS of chocolate
  • Make a treat and bring it to the office
  • Do a mask
  • Have people over for fondue

Enjoy the day, and don’t stop there! Everyday can be Galentine’s Day. Be thankful for your support system & let them know you’re glad they are in your life is such a simple act that can make a huge difference.
