5 french women over Paris

The French Connection

Oct 20, 2020

Bonjour from France (not really, just dreaming)! One of many everyday miracles that occur in our lives is finding connection to other people that we didn’t know existed. In the past few years, we have had the honor and pleasure of spending time with a group of women in our beloved Paris (in-person and virtually) that are doing incredible things with their lives.

Through our friend, Clémence von Mueffling (the name should sound familiar to you, here is a video we recorded with her), we were introduced to two Parisian women we couldn’t wait to tell you about. In case you missed them, here are the links to our conversations with Amanda de Montal and Chloé Bolloré we recorded in early March in Paris during fashion week.

Another Parisian we had the pleasure of meeting with virtually is Lola Rykiel. Yes, she is the granddaughter of the legendary fashion designer Sonia Rykiel! We enjoyed talking about what it was like growing up in such an esteemed fashion family on both sides, as well learning about her new label, PomPom (you will love the reason she gave her brand this name!).

Lastly, you’re invited to hear our conversation with Lydia Courteille. We visited her magical boutique on the Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris. She was a favorite of Karl Lagerfeld’s, and her pieces have been collected by Yves Saint Laurent, Madonna, Keith Richards, Catherine Deneuve, Stella McCartney & many others including royalty!

We hope you enjoy learning about these powerhouse french women. It turns out we have a lot more in common with women in other parts of the globe than we thought. No matter where we live, women are women, and it is a joy to meet and support each other in every way we can! By listening to these conversations, we hope you will feel you have made some new friends too.
