How To Create A Visual Brand

Sep 1, 2020

The way you present yourself in the world helps define who you are. The simplest of style choices can tell your story. You never get a second chance to make a first impression- make it one that will set you apart, build trust and truly reflect who you are. We look forward to working with you to create your visual brand.

Did you know that “your brain decides within a few seconds if people are high status, trustworthy, charismatic, leadership material, promiscuous, smart, dominant & successful?” Here’s a link to an Insider article with more information on first impressions.

The Style That Binds Us team will work with you to design the perfect visual representation of who you are. We work one-on-one or with groups and organizations, both virtually or in person, using concrete, actionable steps to develop your personal style aesthetic or brand, for yourself or for your business. These workshops can apply to any & all industries, positions, colors, religions, sexual orientations, sizes, etc. Schedule your complimentary style discovery call with NYC Stylist Alison Bruhn here.

Enclothed cognition:

Enclothed cognition is a term coined by Hajo Adam and Adam D. Galinsky in their experiment from 2012. It relates to the effect which clothing has upon a person’s mental process and the way they think, feel, and function, in areas like attention, confidence, or abstract thinking. As it relates to workwear, “what you wear while working actually matters; Researchers studying ‘enclothed cognition’ say your clothing choices at home can affect productivity and performance” – WSJ

Here’s a link to an article in WSJ about enclothed cognition. Forbes wrote one too!
