A Day in the Life – We Visit the Cloisters

Come with the women of The Style That Binds Us as they visit the second part of the fashion exhibit, “Heavenly Bodies, Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” at the Cloisters, an outpost of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Cloisters is a museum in Fort Tryon Park in Washington Heights, Upper Manhattan, New York City, specializing in European medieval architecture, sculpture and decorative arts, with a focus on the Romanesque and Gothic periods, which makes it the perfect place to show off these magnificent pieces by designers who were strongly influenced by Catholicism.

The presentation is truly breathtaking set against this stunning background. We start with a tour of the Cloisters then head to brunch at Cafe Clover, stop in to check out the new Clover Grocery (and fall in love!! It is SO AMAZING!) and end the day with a manicure at Jin Soon nail salon. We also go through what is in our makeup bags. Alison has created the perfect kit that can take you from day-to-night. We have added shoppable items below, in case you need to add something to your on-the-go kit!! Make sure to watch the YouTube video which can be found below the shoppable items!
