This website was… how do you say it? Relevant!!
Finally I have found something that helped me. Thanks a lot!
We are so happy that you found it relevant!
I live in a semi remote area in Rockingham, VA. Our Retirement area (Sunnyside) is basically very casual, but do get “dressed up” for church, DAR meetings, special events, but even restaurants in area are casual (although a few are-but you see everything even there). At 76 do not want to look like my maternal grandmother who worked in interior design field in NYC for years…what do you suggest?
Thank you for asking! Rather than more structured clothes and perfectly matched “outfits” and “sweater sets” etc., I would suggest separates that can mixed and matched. Keep in mind the colors that work best for you. Can you wear nice pants and a silk blouse or cashmere sweater to church? If so, you could also wear the top with a more casual pant or jean and more casual shoe for less dressy events associated with your more casual lifestyle. A casual lifestyle can be a chic lifestyle too in a relaxed but still elegant way. To go into more detail, we would be happy set up a phone consultation. Hope this helps!
