What does an action-packed day during NYFW look like?

Day 2 of New York Fashion Week

Watch our day filled with fashion presentations, runway shows and market appointments to see the new SS19 (Spring Summer 2019) collections. We grab a quick working lunch in Soho at Mercer Kitchen with pizza, burrata and a quinoa salad.

Do you see lots of people you know during NYFW?

Fashion month is a great time to catch up with those you know since you are most likely attending the same events. During the Collina Strada show, Delia sees Angela Koh (market editor for T: The New York Times Style Magazine), Madeline Fass (Associate Market Editor at Vogue), and Pamela Love (jewelry designer). Next, we head to the PH5 presentation and get to speak with the designers about their inspiration for the new collection, designed by Wei Lin and Mijia Zhang. We have a market appointment with Novis, founded by Jordan Warmflash. Her collection is filled with color and we loved it! We then stop in at The Highline Hotel for coffee for an energy boost.

Next, we go to The Assemblage, which is a co-working space in NYC for the Mercedes Salazar presentation. She is a Columbian designer who makes statement earrings and handbags. In terms of jewelry trends, it continues to be all about the ear. Wearing statement earrings is a great way to take an outfit from day to night and to partake in this trend.

Any evening events during NYFW?

We go to Schutz Shoes in Soho for an event with Sydney Sadick, one of our friends. We are all about women supporting women and therefore, want to support them in any way we can. We ran into Deanna First there who is a fashion illustrator. We attend the Kim Shui runway presentation.

Lastly, We go to the Cartier Garage event at the Cartier Mansion on 5th Avenue. Finally, we end the night at Bergdorf Goodman to celebrate the launch of Noir. We speak with Linda Fargo, the Fashion Director, Natalia Fedner and Gigi Burris who are RTW and hat designers that have pieces featured in the shop. There was even a contortionist at the event.
