In this podcast episode, (listen on Apple Podcasts or Spotify) you’ll meet Francesco Clark who is the Founder of the skincare brand, Clark’s Botanicals. He started his career working at Harper’s Bazaar as a fashion assistant for the magazine’s editor-his dream job.

WHAT’S HIS STORY?

Seventeen years ago, on what should have been a normal day enjoying time off with friends, Francesco suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed after diving into the shallow end of a pool. He was 24.

Francesco did not let his tragic injury get in the way of living a successful life, he never gave up hope, and because of that, has been able to help so many people. We aren’t saying he doesn’t face challenges, because he certainly does, but instead of letting his accident take him down, he is using his life instead to help others. He & his dad (a physician trained in both traditional Western medicine and homeopathy) started Clark’s Botanicals from their own kitchen, when they couldn’t find the products Francesco needed. The podcast includes a really funny story about how the first product was launched, it will make you smile and give you chills as well. It is a great reminder that there is such power in other people believing in you.

Francesco is a national ambassador for the Christopher Reeve Foundation, which is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy. A percentage of all profits from the sale of Clark’s Botanicals go to the Christopher Reeve Foundation.
