Like Broadway plays, putting together a fashion show takes months of preparation. There is meticulous attention to detail. Everything from the music, to which models best fit the collection (and are they available?), makeup and hair, even nail polish; all these details are discussed at length, because everything must come together to bring out the emotion, the vision of the designer for the collection. These shows are a huge cost for designers, and many clothes will never make to stores, but some will and they are the impression of the brand that the world will see.
