What print should I wear
Wondering which print size is right for you? Read + watch the video below to get the scoop.
Think of the features on your face as a pattern that is completely unique to you.
In reference to what size print you should wear, yes size does. You may not have ever thought about this before, but it’s the truth. Look in the mirror at your features on your face. Are your eyes large or small? Are they widespread or close together? Is there a lot of skin between your features or is everything very close together? To make things easier, go by small medium or large. What are the size your features?
The pattern on your face should match the pattern on the top half of your body. That sounds crazy doesn’t it?! It’s actually something called “visual harmony”.
If the size of the print that you are wearing is very small and close together, and your features are wide and set apart, that would be considered a visual noise. This will be very distracting to the person who is having a conversation with you, because what’s happening on your face and what’s happening on your top do not match.
Here’s an example, you’re a petite person with petite facial features. You are wearing a dress with very large flowers. The dress is beautiful and dramatic and all of that. People are coming up to you and saying, “Love the dress”! They are not however telling you how beautiful you look. The dress is a complete distraction, it takes center stage rather than your pretty face.
This means try to create a balance by wearing the same size print on your top, as the pattern of your features on your face!
Yes, it is a bit confusing, and this is why we created a video- we know a picture is worth 1000 words!
