How to start a brand

Interview with Daniella Kallmeyer of KALLMEYER New York

Daniella Kallmeyer of KALLMEYER New York started her line in 2011. Prior, she worked at LUCA LUCA, McQ at Alexander McQueen, Proenza Schouler and Alice & Olivia. She went to The London College of Fashion for university. Growing up, Daniella’s grandmother lived in NYC and she loved visiting in the summer getting the opportunity to sew.

She always knew she wanted to live in Manhattan and also that she wanted to be a designer. Questions of what is what like working with the genius Lee McQueen when he was still alive + the boys of Proenza Schouler are answered, along with her first inklings of wanting to be a designer, running a business and the day-to-day life of a designer. Listen to the episode on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. Enjoy!
